The Nutrition Nourishment Podcast (originally "Journeys in Food, Nutrition and Sustainability") is a show where I talk with inspiring and knowledgeable guests all about their expertise in their own fields, including those from nutrition and dietetics to sustainability, and psychology and many more areas of wellness and healthcare. In this podcast, my guests share with you their passion for their subject, their knowledge of food, nutrition and well-being, how they got to where they are and, their advice, and experiences with us. In this episode I am joined by Sabrina. Sabrina is a final year Nutrition and Dietetics Student at Kings College London. We talk about when Sabrina first heard of nutrition and her inspiration for studying it further and her experience throughout her degree. In this episode we touch on her degree content and experiences throughout her degree, some passions of hers including sustainability, and how her inspirations have changed and developed over the last few years. Throughout this episode Sabrina shared how everyone's journey is unique and how "a journey is not all or nothing, it is about balance and what works for you".

Today I am joined by Tony, a first-year Food Science and Nutrition student. We talk about how Tony has loved to cook from a young age, and how this has developed into his passion for nutrition. Tony began work in the hospitality industry and was successful in his job but knew that something wasn’t quite right. Tony completed his access course to begin his studies again which led him to Teeside University. Now, Tony is going into his second year as a mature student and is looking forward to learning more in nutrition. Tony has some words of advice for us about following our passions, and shares "the importance of making the most of every experience you've got, be bold but give yourself a break".

This week I am joined by Victoria, a registered associate nutritionist and student dietitian. We talk about how Victoria has always been interested in nutrition and this developed in her first year of studying anthropology at the University of Kent. This inspired her to change course and Victoria to Nutrition and Food Consumer Science at the University of Reading. Victoria is now on her dietetics journey at the University of Hertfordshire. We talk today about Victoria’s passions and inspirations. Her experiences in the clinical setting and writing for Rhitrition. Victoria has some great words of advice for us from her journey and experience. Remember, it is never too late to change your mind.

This week I am welcoming Sarah, a registered nutritionist. Today we talked through Sarah's journey from her degree in public health, nutrition, her work experience, and volunteering. We talk all about her career and work as the head nutritionist for Mitchell's and Butlers, as well as her own business Nutribloom. Nutribloom encompasses Sarah's passion for movement as a qualified sport and exercise nutritionist and as a qualified yoga instructor. Today, we talk about her life, her career, and her work alongside her passions for nutrition and sustainability. Sarah has some great words of advice for all of us throughout this podcast, including how "life should be about balance and not just in tree pose".

Today she shares her advice from along her journey, including to always have faith in yourself and your own journey. We talk about her work experience in the industry and the importance of networking and making contacts. Hollie enjoys making evidence-based infographics, sharing her knowledge, and growing her network of friends and colleagues. Hollie has some great tips for you in how to manage challenges and how to take time for yourself.

I am excited to be welcoming Ro Huntriss today. Ro has an undergraduate degree in Food Science and Nutrition, a master’s in advanced nutrition and a second Masters in Clinical Research. She has worked in the NHS for several years, private practice and commercial business. She is also a published author of several academic papers. Today I talk with Ro all about her journey, from education to work, her experience on social media, and the importance of sustainable living and growing awareness of this within the food, nutrition, and dietetics community. We talk about how we are not all perfect, but we can try and use our voices on social media to try and make change for the good, while keeping within our scope of practice. Ro has some great words of advice for you, including to "aim for progress and not perfection".

I am so excited to be sharing with you Sonia's Journey. She has an inspiring, brave and very busy journey to share! Sonia is currently in her second year as an undergraduate at Solent University studying Human Nutrition. After studying Nutrition for a year at the University of Hertfordshire, Sonia made a brave decision to take a year out to think about her path, and ended up deciding Nutrition is definitely for her! Sonia now balances university work and life with being a High Performance Athlete. Sonia is passionate about the environment, sharing her tips with how we can all do our part and she shares some inspirational words of advice for us!

I am very excited to be bringing to you this episode with Holly Roper. We had an amazing conversation, talking about Holly's passions, her up's and downs, her education, jobs, and experience in the field. Holly completed her MSc in Human Nutrition at the University of Sheffield last year, whilst gaining plenty of experience, shadowing nutritionists, including. Holly now works as the Health Care Professional Communications Officer for Quorn. Holly has recently set up the "Health and Nutrition Book Club", which has been a huge success. Today we talk all through Holly's journey and she has some inspirational words for us!
